I certainly share your frustration, sis.
Of course, kids have always had to come to a place in their life where they either accept or reject the faith of their parents. Does it seem that more of them are rejecting their parents Christian faith? Did the parents themselves actually have a saving faith in Jesus Christ or did they just believe in going to church?
I came to Christ in my late teens. In my twenties I walked away from the church for a little while, but I never walked away from the Lord, though there were times I kind of kept Him at a distance. That was just my own sinfulness making me wander a bit. I came back and have stayed.
It's frustrating to see kids leave the church; it's especially frustrating when you see it happening in your own kids. But we have done our best to instill it in them, and now we continue to pray for them that they come back to the church, but especially that they don't stray from the savior of their souls.
The sex thing goes hand-in-hand with this. Children of Faith need to realize that not everybody is doing it; and even if they are, that doesn't mean they should, too. After all, we are called to be different, to be separate and set apart for the Lord's work.
